This 4-hour course will explore topics related to proper PPE selection for workers in the construction industry that enter confined spaces. An overview of definitions and regulations will be covered as well as hazard control and proper PPE selection. Tuition is paid by a training grant.

Course objectives include:

  • PPE requirements in the construction industry standard
  • Limitations of PPE in protecting workers from injury
  • Proper selection and maintenance of PPE
  • Behavior change and the role employers/leaders play in establishing a safety culture
  • Worker rights and responsibilities
