Description

This course consists of online exercises, presentations, self-graded quizzes and tests and a final exam. The instructional materials will allow the student to comprehend the basic operation, maintenance and troubleshooting fundamentals of a community wastewater collection system. Topics include operation and maintenance of sewer pipes, clean-outs, sewage pumping stations, manholes and safety.

 

Who Should Enroll

Anyone interested in gaining knowledge of operation and maintenance of a municipal wastewater collection system including owners, managers, supervisors, chief operators, shift operators, trainees, underground utility construction and maintenance workers. This course is for informational purposes only. There is currently no State of Florida or Federal requirement to be licensed in wastewater collection systems. Some states may require collection system operator licensing, however Florida does not.       

About the Course

This self-paced Wastewater education course consists of online exercises, presentations, self-grading quizzes, and a final exam. These instructional materials will allow the student to gain a basic understanding of wastewater collection systems.

Textbooks are included in registration fee. Utilizes "Operation & Maintenance of Wastewater Collection Systems", Vol. I and II, CSUS Foundation. We will ship the books to you upon receipt of registration payment.  Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipping. No refunds are given after books are shipped or student has logged into the course.

      Requirements for Online Courses:

  • You should be computer literate and familiar with PC-based systems to participate in the online courses.
  • Prepayment is required before you will receive log-in information, including address and password.
  • You must provide an email address at time of registration/payment.
  • Courses must be completed within six months from date of registration. Certificate will be issued on the date you pass the final exam.
