U.S. EPA requires documentation of current AHERA Certificates of Accreditation and Certificates of Reaccreditation; and Florida BPR: Asbestos Licensing Unit has approved only certain training providers from which you can receive credit to renew your Florida license.

To be reaccredited, you must provide proof of having successfully completed the initial EPA-approved training course in accordance with Florida BPR: Asbestos Licensing Unit and any annual refresher courses in the discipline in which you seek reaccreditation. If your initial and refresher course certificates were issued through another training provider, you must submit copies with your registration.

Course Structure

This is a 30-day completion deadline. This course is 4 hours in length. It consists of five content modules, knowledge and skills activities, and a final exam. Inside each content module, you will find lecture videos, a PDF of PowerPoint handouts to accompany the lecture, and a quiz. You must score at least 70% on each quiz to move on to the next module. Additionally, some modules also have required readings and supplemental videos. Participation is monitored and you will be required to complete the full 4 hour time requirement.

After completing Modules 1 - 5, you will take the final exam for this course. You must score at least 70% on the final exam to earn your certificate of reaccreditation for this course.

This course will utilize Honorlock for the final exam to ensure exam integrity. Honorlock ensures exam integrity and enables administration of remote online exams. All exam sessions will be reviewed as part of your final grade. Instances of cheating or inappropriate behavior will be considered violations of the Student Honor Code and will result in disciplinary action.

Honorlock is very simple! All you will need to do is log into Canvas and click on the quiz you need to take. You will be prompted to add the Honorlock Chrome Extension, which is required to take your exam. You are required to use Google Chrome as your browser. Then you will need to take a picture, show your ID, and scan your room. Honorlock will be recording you VIA webcam and they will be recording your screen. They also have an integrity algorithm that can detect search-engine use, so do not attempt to cheat or look up answers, even if its a secondary device.

How do you get started?

  • Honorlock is not a live proctoring service, you do not need to schedule an appointment with Honorlock in advance.
  • You will need to use Google Chrome and download the Honorlock Chrome Extension. You can download the extension at www.honorlock.com/extension/install (Links to an external site.)
  • When you are ready to take your exam, log into Canvas, go to your Course, and click on your exam. When you click on "Take your Exam," you will start the authentication process before you begin your exam.
  • If you see a page asking for an access code, it means that you did not install the Honorlock Chrome Extension or you are not in Google Chrome.
  • Honorlock guidelines are available to view here (Links to an external site.)

24/7 /365 Support is Available

These are Honorlock's minimum system requirements. Honorlock will work on any device that can run the full Chrome browser (including Windows, macOS, and Chrome OS). Windows-based and Chrome OS tablets should work; however, iOS and iPads and Android do not support the full Chrome browser and are not compatible with Honorlock. Honorlock requires internet access and students MUST have a web camera for online proctoring. Instructors should work with students to identify who cannot meet those requirements and find alternative solutions.

If you encounter issues with Honorlock, you may contact them at (855) 828-4004, chat and/or email at support@honorlock.com.

Information about obtaining your Certificate of Reaccreditation will be available after successfully completing your final exam and submitting the course survey.
