COURSE DESCRIPTION

This one day TEDC Course is for individuals seeking an in-depth working knowledge of thermal expansion, detection, and control within a closed plumbing system.

This course will include theory, review of guidance documents, product applications, case histories, and a hands on portion to support the classroom objectives.

Time is spent in the classroom and working hands on in lab. Upon successful completion of a written exam and hands on practice, students are awarded a certificate of Completion in Thermal Expansion Detection & Control(TEDC)


Course Objectives:

Upon Completions of the TEDC Course, students should be able to:

  • Identify causes and solutions of thermal expansion within a closed system
  • Explain how the TEDC components operate
  • Refer to UF- TREEO manual on thermal expansion topics
  • Explain why manufacturer’s instructions must be followed
  • Start a TEDC Program
