Description | This course is for informational purposes only, and will not meet the educational requirements to sit for the state operator exam. COURSE DESCRIPTION The instructional materials will allow the student to understand the basic operation, maintenance and troubleshooting fundamentals of a community wastewater collection system. This course consists of online exercises, presentations, self-graded quizzes/tests and a final exam. Topics include:
This course utilizes "Operation & Maintenance of Wastewater Collection Systems", Vol. I and II, CSUS Foundation. Textbooks are included in registration fee. Textbooks will be shipped to you upon receipt of registration payment. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipping. International shipments will be charged an additional fee. Please contact our office prior to registration for this information. If you are eligible for CEUs for this course: You will be responsible for providing your license information at the completion of your course. We will provide confirmation once your information has been submitted.

Anyone interested in gaining knowledge of operation and maintenance of a municipal wastewater collection system including owners, managers, supervisors, chief operators, shift operators, trainees, underground utility construction and maintenance workers. This course is for informational purposes only. There is currently no State of Florida or Federal requirement to be licensed in wastewater collection systems. Some states may require collection system operator licensing, however Florida does not.
If you are looking to become a Wastewater operator, you would need to take our Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations Class C&B Training Course, which is approved for the state exam through FDEP.
