Description

This course covers the requirements for recording and reporting occupational injuries and illnesses found in 29 CFR Part 1904 – Recording and Reporting Occupational Injuries and Illness. Students will participate in exercises to evaluate, classify, and report cases using the recordkeeping forms, and retention requirements for documents required by specific OSHA standards will be reviewed. 

Upon course completion, students will be able to: 

  • Identify OSHA’s requirements for recordkeeping, reporting, and posting.  
  • Discuss preferred location, retention, and maintenance of records. 
  • Evaluate cases and correctly classify recordable cases. 
  • Complete OSHA Forms 300, 300A, and 301.  
  • Identify record retention requirements for documents required by specific OSHA regulations
